Name: Zero
Current Council Member: Yes

Experience:
“In the past year, as a CR committee member, I have witnessed the rapid development of the Elastos ecosystem, particularly with the introduction of the BeL2 strategy and the community’s support and efforts towards this strategic transformation. Through the CR mechanism, we reached multiple consensuses that propelled the ecosystem’s prosperity and development, fostering technological innovation and community co-construction. I believe the new CR committee will continue to lead the Elastos community in driving innovation, enhancing collaboration, and achieving ecological prosperity.”

Background:
“I have been part of the Elastos community since 2017 and have participated in the development of various ecosystem projects, specializing in product design and development. Through running for the CR committee, I hope to further contribute my skills and experience to the Elastos community.”

Contribution Goals:
“If elected, I will contribute to CRC by supporting the BeL2 strategy to drive technological innovation, strengthen community collaboration, and enhance the efficiency of ecosystem resource integration.”

Improvements:
“The CRC needs to improve decision-making transparency and community participation. If elected, I will work to enhance the transparency of the decision-making process, ensuring that community members can better understand and participate in decisions. Additionally, I will promote more community activities and communication channels to foster interaction and collaboration among members, thereby strengthening community cohesion and overall development.”

Email: markeblairmd@gmail.com
Name: Mark E. Blair, M.D.
Current Council Member: Yes

Experience:
“As a current member of the Cyber Republic Council (CRC), my experience over the past 4 years has been both rewarding and enlightening. I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with dedicated members like Sir Kahuna and Vegas Mike as part of ‘The Strawberry Council.’ Together, we have upheld the philosophy of ‘derived from the community, for the community,’ driving strategic initiatives that promote decentralization and community involvement within the Elastos ecosystem.”

Background:
“In my role, I have focused on enhancing Elastos’ contributions to the Bitcoin ecosystem and digital/data rights, especially through my work as the Head of Strategy for BeL2 since December 2023. This position has allowed me to explore investment opportunities and strategize the rollout of BeL2 infrastructure, providing me with a unique perspective on how to further our community’s goals.”

Contribution Goals:
“For another term, my aspirations include continuing to drive innovation and growth. I hope to continue to support the rollout and adoption of BeL2, which will not only increase use cases for the Bitcoin ecosystem but also boost Elastos’ visibility and adoption. Additionally, I am committed to exploring outside investor opportunities to increase the project’s ecosystem development and long-term viability.”

Improvements:
“In my opinion, while the CRC is currently effective in serving as a DAO, there are areas that could be further improved:

  • Increased Community Engagement: Encouraging more active participation from community members, ensuring their voices and ideas are heard and integrated into our strategic plans.
  • Transparency and Communication: Enhancing transparency in decision-making processes and improving communication channels between the CRC and the wider Elastos community.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Forming strategic partnerships with other blockchain projects and organizations to foster collaboration and mutual growth.
  • Innovation and Flexibility: Implementing a framework that allows for greater innovation and flexibility in adopting new technologies and approaches, keeping Elastos at the forefront of blockchain development.”

chen2rong2

Email: chen2rong2@icloud.com
Name: chen2rong2
Current Council Member: No

Background:
“I haven’t run for a council seat previously, and I will not run next year. However, I feel obligated to offer my help at this critical juncture of the Elastos initiative if I am elected. I have been with the Elastos project since the beginning. And I believe there is a need for a bridge between internet developers and crypto developers so they can work together to build a new Web3. I wish to share some of my thoughts with the Cyber Republic communities, especially in the DePIN area, because Web3 is a network first and foremost.”

Contribution Goals:
“‘You own your data’ — that’s for everyone. Web1, Web2, and Web3 are for all internet users, not just crypto enthusiasts. I will try to help build the SmartWeb, our interpretation of Web3, in any way I can. The SmartWeb can’t survive unless project developers, internet influencers, and e-business vendors can make profits on their own.”

Improvements:
“Currently, there is also a divide between the eastern and western members of the Cyber Republic communities. I hope to be an interpreter and help people see that both the world and the internet are common ground for us all.”
